Friday 2nd of January 2015 is also a public holiday

Apart from Thursday January 1st, 2015, which is the New year day celebration that we all know is the normal public holiday, the Nigerian Federal Government has also declared Friday 2nd of January, 2015 as a public holiday. This is to mark Eid el Maloud.

Enjoy your holiday everyone and a very happy new year to you.

It wasn’t all bad! | © Fola Daniel Adelesi

If you look back and decide to think about all that has happened for you in the year, you will realize that you may not have hit a jackpot but it wasn’t all bad. There may have been some troubled times but I believe you had some good time too.

When we look only at our troubles, we will never see anything good and what happens eventually is that we miss out on some very important things in life. That is why you need to

Grace Efezokhae: The Crazy Line Between Finding Love And Being Desperate

Proverbs 27:7- “Honey seems tasteless to a person who is full, but even bitter food tastes sweet to the hungry” (NLT)

I remember vividly the first time I came across this verse in the Bible, God made me remember a scenario that occurred in my undergraduate days.  A room-mate of mine went home for a short break and it was a normal thing to bring back something for the girls. This sisi came back with plantain chips named “blessed mike”. We all laughed over the funny name of the chips which we later found out to be tasteless.

Weeks later, all three of us were awake at about 11pm and were so hungry. The quickest option was to eat the “blessed mike” chips.  Alas! The chips tasted so sweet and we were all surprised at how the change had tasted over the past few weeks. The point I’m trying to draw out here is that the chips tasted so sweet at that time not because of anything but for the fact that we were desperately hungry and needed to eat just anything about that time.

This same scenario applies in our daily lives. Ever seen a lady or a dude so desperate for love, it’s so obvious to everyone. All they talk and dream about is finding the Mr. or Miss. Right at all costs possible, by crook or by hook. The statement that says “desperate times call for desperate measures” is all a factor of fear. A lady in her late 30s is already being pressured to

Roxandra Akinola: Hello Beautiful…

Hello Beautiful,

I don’t know if you ever get discouraged and a bit frightened every now and then like I do, if you do then this is for you.

Life is such a serious business that we don’t want to mess it up. We have all heard stories and even met people who have squandered their futures with seemingly trivial decisions. And these well-meaning stories and life examples make us a bit frightened and discouraged or depressed when we go through down times in our academics, careers, ministry and relationships.

I want to however remind you that after the rain comes sunshine.
The Bible tells us that there is a season for everything under the sun Ecclesiastes 3:1.
No pain lasts forever, no struggle, no difficulty, no challenge! It MUST give way to better days.

The afro hair styles caught my attention, it was real fun, it brings to my remembrance some old school pictures in the 1970s, of how our omoge mums make their hair for parties then. It is very cool, looks funny and good. Enjoy the pictures

The things you are doing now | © Fola Daniel Adelesi

When we lay our hands on certain things we sometimes think that we are doing them just for fun. We start out and in some cases it appears we are just doing them so that people do not think we are not busy. If only we know the impact of the things we are doing right now and how far they can go, we will either take them seriously or even stop them completely.

You should never underrate the importance of what you are doing right now or its possible magnitude. We may even start doing certain things and we think no one is watching until one day when you start having a conversation and someone makes reference to that thing you thought no one was seeing.

It is very important that you ensure you are doing something which will bring a

Waje, Bankybrown and Toke Makinwa are grateful for 2014

It's testimony time, despite all the troubles around the world, God has kept us till today, it's more than enough to be thankful for.

"Good morning sweets. I’m grateful for so much. At the end of 2013 I was in a very dark place, toxic relationship, wanted to quit music and was worried about my weight, health issues and actually believed everyone around me was balling except me lol, but This year!!! I’ve grown a very thick skin, so things that will usually hurt are now refreshment when my friends and I are gisting lol (bad belle is allowed), my daughter graduated, moved into a bigger house with everything I want in it, I invested more in business and God gave me more, can afford to take care of my parents, I no longer give excuses for my failures, I just get up and ask the Holy Spirit to help, discernment is my best friend and even when it’s far from me I retrace my steps. I’m more mature, not quick to anger like I was in the past and my year is ending in the most beautiful way, My whole family is here with me. I ve you guys. There’s so much to be thankful for. 2015 will be a better year, I know this cos I know my father, he loves me enough to ensure that my testimonies never end. What’s your testimony? Let’s rejoice with u #merrychristmas#spreadlove #leavehate."

Billionaire’s angle (Wang Jianlin)

Wang Jianlin
I was watching TV yesterday evening, I noticed that most channels I tuned to were talking about the Chinese Billionaire Wang Jianlin especially because his property firm came out to raise funds in an IPO, so I decided to listen and also do a research. So let’s go

Wang Jianlin was born in 1954, so he should be 60 now, he was brought up by his father, an Army veteran in an industrial region of China’s western Sichuan Province, who fought under Mao Zedong’s Red Army during the Long March Campaign. Wang Jianlin is the eldest and he has 4 younger brothers and he is married to Lin Ning.

As a teenager, Wang Jianlin joined the Liberation Army and served till 1988, Wang left the army and borrowed 1 million Yuan ($161,000) to start a real estate company in Dalian, northeast China. And in 1992 he took over a bankrupt property developer which later became
