Be The Light By Ehi Ade Mabo

Wrong is the new right, left is the new right, the voice of reasoning is drowned, almost dead. Most of the world is doing things down-side-up and all we are doing about that is complaining, raising our nagging meters, criticizing with a mouthful of abuse, hate, negative verbal slurs and pointing accusing fingers from afar. Its not unusual to walk in a room and point out a list of things wrong with the room, the people and even hate yourself for
being in the room, any fool can do that.

What a rare breed of people do though is walk in, observe the short comings and instead of waiting for “somebody” to do it, they become the “anybody” who can see past the short comings and look for opportunities to impact the room and its occupants with a positive change, it makes “everybody” happy but these rare group of problem seeking individuals have a different mindset from the masses, they are change agents impacting the world in many little ways.

Often times, “nobody” is responsible for all the problems, shortcomings and failures and these cracks are only there for us to lay hold of opportunities to learn, grow, advance and influence for the betterment of ourselves and others. As you go about your life, make sure you are the “anybody” who chooses to see past the difficulties and initiates change in your family, church, community, city, nation and the world at large.

Choose to be the light. Let your presence be felt in any room. Let your works speak. Let your light shine, for that is our primary duty on earth. Shine.
