Ever wonder why the oddest of sects have the followers they do? Do you often wonder why you hear about a particular belief and find that it has hundreds and even thousands of devotees?

The same applies to businesses. One person’s great idea today becomes a blooming business tomorrow, and slowly but steadily the business’ following increases and you find it having loyal customers who stay vouching for their products.

And of course, there are human beings like you and me with thousands and millions of supporters that stay loyal and rise to their defence at the slightest whim. Did someone say Beyhive?

To clarify, as with all things there’s the rule and there are exceptions to the rule. People undeniably support different groups and individuals for reasons

other than recognizing a drive in them. However, anyone who walks purposefully will earn respect and gain devotees who will over time become the support system that keeps him/her going.

Mark Twain is quoted as saying that, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” I’d like to add a 3^rd most important day, which is the day you take the first step towards doing what you were born to do. There are people waiting to cheer you on and stand by you through storms once you start walking with purpose. You won’t have to walk alone. Every step after that crucial first step builds and strengthens your support system.

You do realize that you’re a part of several support systems, don’t you? As a fan (or stan) or supporter of any brand, you’re a part of that person’s/brand’s support system! You keep them going through your purchases and referrals. So why are you depriving yourself of yours by holding back from doing what you were born to do?!

I feel the need to say again- you will not walk alone! Your support system is on stand-by. Start walking with purpose.
