Armed Forces Day (Remembrance Day)

Today is Armed Forces Remembrance Day. It is a day that the Nigerian Armed Forces is remembered for their sacrifice in keeping the country safe. It is a day to remember those who fought in the 1st and 2nd world wars. It was formerly celebrated annually on November 11. But later changed to 15 January every year because during the civil war, the Biafran troops surrendered to the Federal troops on 15th January, 1970.

That Nigeria is not divided right now is because of their sacrifices and efforts.

We celebrate those serving now and all the fallen heroes of our dear country.

May God keep Nigeria and restore peace to us.
