INEC has said 68,833,476 people across Nigeria are the registered voters for the forth coming general election in February 2015.
The Chairman of INEC Prof. Attahiru Jega stated this in a meeting with the National leaders of the political parties at the commission today.
He stated that over 4 million people across Nigeria were involved in multiple registration and their names have been deleted from the register.
Also that the number of people that have collected their permanent voters card is about 38m.
He said more PVCs will be out by the end of January.
He also made it clear that it is only PVCs that will be used for the voting exercise in the February elections.
