There was a fight between the Boko Haram militants and the Chadian Army near Fotokol on Thursday and Friday. The Chadian army repelled the militants as they staged an attack against the people.
The attacks on Fotokol have been frequent from Gamboru village where the Boko Haram members are also based. This has been of great concern to the Chad's president, the Chadians have been making efforts to ensure the restoration of peace and safety.
In the recent attack, the Chadian troops were sent to fight the insurgents. 123 Boko Haram members were killed according to reports from the Chadian Army, 12 soldiers were injured and 3 soldiers died due to explosives.
